Workspace

A new way to work with Nexthink.

Workspace is a new AI-first way of working with Nexthink. Instead of navigating through dashboards, filters and investigations to find an answer, users can start with a question and work from there.

From the beginning, I saw the opportunity to make conversation a more direct way into the product—bringing Nexthink's data, reasoning and actions together in a single experience.

Nexthink had traditionally been a product you navigated. Workspace introduced a different starting point: conversation.

The interface could begin with a question rather than a predefined path, turning the product from something you browse into something you can ask.

A conversation with the product

The challenge was to make a conversation with an enterprise system feel simple without hiding the depth behind it.

Questions could be broad or specific—about a device, application, issue or pattern—and Workspace could return an answer with context and reasoning. The conversation wasn't just another presentation layer; it became a way of moving through the product.

More than a chatbot

Workspace wasn't designed as a chatbot layered on top of Nexthink.

The goal was to make the conversation a new way of interacting with the product itself. An answer could bring together signals, analysis and context, helping the user understand what was happening without requiring them to know where that information lived beforehand.

From insight to action

An answer is only useful if it helps you do something with it.

Workspace could move from insight into recommended remediation, validation and action, keeping those steps within the same experience instead of sending the user back into a separate workflow.

A different way into Nexthink

Designing for AI changes some of the assumptions we've made about interfaces for years.

When a product can understand a question, reason across a large amount of information and help determine what to do next, the interface doesn't need to expose every step of the underlying system. My focus was to keep that complexity behind the experience while making the interaction feel immediate, clear and distinctly Nexthink.

A new way to work

Workspace doesn't replace the complexity of Nexthink. It changes how you get to it.

Instead of asking users to learn the structure of the product first, the interface gives them another starting point: ask a question, understand what's happening, and decide what to do next.
